Situated at the western end of downtown, the park features picnic facilities, walking trails, a duck pond, marina, and quarter-mile concrete fishing pier that offers excellent fishing for redfish, mullet, and white trout.

Fairhope hosts dozens of festivals and special events each year, including the Grand Festival of Art, held each October at the Fairhope Campus of Faulkner Community College, and the Fairhope Film Festival, held each September at participating locations around the city.
